Design & Build Your Dream Home

When it comes to home construction, you want to work with a company that has years of experience, and one that is dedicated to customer service. At D4 Construction, serving Colborne and beyond, we'll listen closely to your needs to design and construct a home that is right for you. You can see some examples of our work on this page and please feel free to ask us for a reference from our past customers. Our process is simple and consists of 4 steps:
  • Contact
  • Design and develop
  • Agreement contract
  • Construct and follow-up

When you contact us we cover the preliminary questions. Where would you like to build your custom home? What style of home do you want to build? What features do you want? When do you want it completed by? And, what is your budget? We can provide you with a preliminary rough estimate and proceed to investigate further the cost of your wants and needs for your custom home. A site visit to where the house will be necessary to orient ourselves with the layout and site preparations that may be required. For example: clearing of wooded lot, water feature avoidance, utility connections available or required, etc.

In the design process, perhaps you already have architectural drawings but you want to make changes or alterations. Either way, we can help you find the design you’re looking for by matching you with one of our affiliated architects. Once the design, features and product selections are made we go to work on presenting a quote with a detailed scope of work, costs, timeline and necessary permits applications.

With a signed contract and agreement for termed deposit payments, the work begins. Permit applications are submitted and approved. Subcontracting and material orders are booked and scheduled for delivery. Site preparations are made for safety and workability. Ongoing monitoring and reporting occur at the main stages of construction detailed in our timeline, along with building code inspections.

After completion, clean up and final inspections we hand the keys over to you, but we’re not done. Our standard warranty continues for two years following the same guidelines as Tarion New Home Warranty.

When you're ready to get started we invite you to contact us directly and we'll guide you through our process.
